Programming Accelerators Using Directives
Location: XSEDE 2012 Conference
Presenter: Francois Bodin, CAPS Enterprise
This tutorial aims at presenting OpenACC in the context of a code migration methodology. Besides having a clear view of how to migrate applications onto new many-core processors (GPU right now), the main objective of a methodology is to reduce risks and improve efficiency. CAPS HMPP compiler for OpenACC was released April 24, 2012. The purpose of OpenACC is to define a common set of directives between CAPS, CRAY and PGI compilers. This initiative comes in anticipation of the eventual extension of OpenMP to accelerators.
